JOHANNESBURG, Jan 6 (AGCNewsNet) – Style icon Seth Shezi emerged victorious in the grand finale of MasterChef Celebrity South Africa on Saturday, January 4, taking home the coveted R1 million prize.

Shezi faced off against media personality Dineo Ranaka in a thrilling finale that showcased his culinary prowess with a three-course Italian-inspired dish created from a Mystery Box challenge.

“We tasted some exquisite, surprising dishes, and it literally came down to tooth and nail – the final one grain more of salt or sugar. It was head-to-head,” said Katlego Mlambo, one of the show's judges.

Half of Shezi’s prize money, amounting to R500,000, will be donated to his chosen charity, Ladles of Love, an organization dedicated to feeding the underprivileged. He also secured an additional R20,000 for the charity in a previous episode.

Judges praised Shezi and his competitors for showcasing not only their culinary journeys but also the richness of South African cuisine throughout the competition.
