Victor Osimhen's lone goal sealed a 1-0 victory for Galatasaray against Konyaspor at Rams Park on Saturday, maintaining the Super Eagles striker's impressive form in the Turkish Super Lig.
Osimhen, who has been a standout performer for the Turkish giants, notched his third goal in as many games. Leading the attack in Galatasaray's 21st league fixture of the season, the Nigerian forward was instrumental throughout the match.
The hosts dominated from the outset, and Osimhen came close in the 12th minute, narrowly missing a header. However, his persistence paid off in the 20th minute when he won a penalty after drawing a foul from Ismael Jakobs. Osimhen stepped up to the spot and calmly converted to give Galatasaray the lead.
Despite the team's dominance in the first half and sustained pressure in the second, Osimhen's potential second goal in the 54th minute was disallowed for offside. He also had another effort saved in the 62nd minute.
Osimhen completed the full 90 minutes, registering six goal attempts but managing to convert just one. His decisive performance ensured Galatasaray secured all three points, keeping their campaign on track.
