ABUJA, March 19 (AGCNewsNet) – Nigerian striker Sunday Adetunji has been crowned the best player of the 25th round of the Kosovo Super League after delivering a match-winning performance for Ballkani against Ferizaj.
The 27-year-old Super Eagles forward scored both goals in Ballkani’s 2-1 victory on Friday, earning him the “Star of the Week” award—an honour presented by the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) and Super League sponsors Albi Mall.
A panel from the Football Veterans’ Commission selected Adetunji as the standout player of the round, recognizing his clinical finishing that helped Ballkani maintain their pursuit of league leaders Drita.
Reflecting on the award, Adetunji credited his teammates for their collective effort in securing the victory.
Since joining Ballkani from Celje last July, he has scored ten goals and provided two assists in 19 league appearances, playing a crucial role in the club’s push for the league title.
With Ballkani currently second in the league with 43 points—11 behind leaders Drita—Adetunji's form could be key in their bid to close the gap as the season progresses.
