MINSK, April 17 (AGCNewsNet) – Belarus and Zimbabwe have agreed to develop a comprehensive cooperation roadmap for the 2026–2030 period, following high-level discussions held during a Belarusian delegation's visit to Harare on April 16, officials confirmed.

According to a statement from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the roadmap will build upon existing agreements while charting new areas for partnership across multiple sectors. The decision emerged from a session of the Belarus-Zimbabwe Standing Commission on Cooperation, where both sides reviewed progress on prior initiatives and explored new opportunities for engagement.

A joint communiqué and protocol were signed after the meeting, affirming intentions to expand bilateral collaboration in agriculture, education, healthcare, disaster management, mining, and manufacturing.

The Zimbabwean government also extended its gratitude to President Alexander Lukashenko for dispatching humanitarian aid in response to the severe drought linked to the El Niño climate event.

Officials say the upcoming cooperation plan will consolidate ongoing efforts while launching new bilateral projects aimed at boosting economic development and resilience in both countries.
