CAPE TOWN, Oct 26 (AGCNewsNet)- The City of Cape Town is preparing for a level four storm expected to hit on Sunday night, as warned by the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
Beginning around midnight on Sunday and continuing into the early hours of Monday, residents can anticipate widespread showers and thundershowers accompanied by strong winds.
Disaster management spokesperson Charlotte Powell has urged the public to take precautionary measures to mitigate potential damage. "This would include clearing drainage systems, cleaning gutters, removing dead tree branches and obstructions, and digging trenches around homes to divert water away," Powell advised.
