CAIRO, June 16 (AGCNewsNet) – Egypt’s diplomatic mission in Tehran has confirmed that all Egyptian nationals in Iran are safe and unharmed, following Israel’s recent airstrikes on Iranian territory and Iran’s retaliatory attacks.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued the statement on Sunday, assuring the public that continuous monitoring and support are being provided through the Egyptian embassy. Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty was briefed on the situation during a call with the mission, during which he requested a full assessment of the safety of Egyptians in various Iranian cities.

The ministry instructed embassy staff to maintain round-the-clock contact with community members, address any challenges promptly, and ensure consistent support throughout the escalating crisis.

Egypt also urged its nationals in Iran to remain in secure locations and report any difficulties. Emergency contact numbers were made available to assist citizens during the ongoing conflict.

The announcement came in the aftermath of Israel’s most significant military operation on Iranian soil since the 1980s, targeting nuclear infrastructure in Tehran on Friday. Iran responded with multiple missile strikes, including direct hits on Tel Aviv, further intensifying tensions in the Middle East.

Egypt has continued diplomatic engagements with regional and international counterparts over the worsening situation, reiterating its call for restraint and the urgent need to de-escalate.
