LONDON, Oct. 28 (AGCNewsNet) - West Ham United has reportedly set its sights on Nigerian forward, Ademola Lookman, following his impressive season with Serie A club Atalanta. According to GIVEMESPORT, the English Premier League club has held internal talks about the possibility of signing Lookman in an upcoming transfer window as part of their search for a versatile attacker.

With two years remaining on his contract at Atalanta, Lookman would require a significant transfer investment for any club aiming to secure his services. The Charlton Athletic graduate has seen a sharp rise in his profile over the past year, boosted by standout performances for both club and country. His efforts earned him nominations for the prestigious Ballon d'Or and African Footballer of the Year awards, and he played a crucial role in Nigeria's journey to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final, where he was named in the Team of the Tournament by the Confederation of African Football.

Lookman’s versatility makes him a strong prospect for West Ham, who are in need of a player able to support talents like Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus, Niclas Fullkrug, and Crysencio Summerville. Capable of playing across the front line and as an attacking midfielder, Lookman’s adaptability is a key asset.

However, West Ham’s primary target is Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran. Should Duran be unavailable, Lookman, along with Lille forward Jonathan David, is among the alternative options the club is considering to bolster its attacking lineup.

Lookman, who previously played in the Premier League with Everton, Fulham, and Leicester City, has 96 Premier League appearances under his belt.
