MILAN, July 22 (AGCNewsNet) – Transfer negotiations between Inter Milan and Atalanta over Nigeria’s forward Ademola Lookman have stalled, as both Serie A clubs remain locked in a dispute over valuation and player exchange conditions.
Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, reports that Atalanta's proposal to include Inter’s 19-year-old striker Francesco Pio Esposito in the deal was dismissed as unacceptable by the Milanese club, prompting Inter to halt talks indefinitely.
Although Lookman is reportedly eager to make the move to San Siro, Atalanta are standing firm on a €50 million valuation — €10 million more than Inter’s initial offer.
Lookman, who scored a hat trick in Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League final win over Bayer Leverkusen, is considered a top attacking target for Inter this summer. However, Atalanta’s tough negotiating stance mirrors their recent approach with Juventus over Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, a deal that also failed to materialize over valuation differences.
With both parties unwilling to compromise, the future of the Nigerian international remains uncertain, and no immediate breakthrough is in sight.
