ABUJA, Nov 11 (AGCNewsNet) — The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has reached a strategic agreement with Dangote Refinery for the direct supply of petroleum products, including PMS (Premium Motor Spirit), AGO (Automotive Gas Oil), and DPK (Dual Purpose Kerosene), to its members. This development, announced by IPMAN National President Abubakar Garima during a press briefing in Abuja, follows months of negotiations aimed at enhancing fuel availability and affordability across Nigeria.

Garima detailed that the partnership would streamline the supply chain by eliminating middlemen, thereby reducing distribution costs. “After meeting with Aliko Dangote and his management team in Lagos, we are pleased to announce that Dangote Refinery has agreed to supply IPMAN with PMS, AGO, and DPK directly for distribution to our depots and retail outlets,” he stated.

The agreement is also expected to support President Bola Tinubu’s economic development goals by creating jobs and advancing local production. Garima urged IPMAN members to rely on domestic refineries to support the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” and alleviate pressure on Nigeria’s foreign exchange market.

The Dangote Refinery, the largest in Africa and Europe, has commenced the production of petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel and is positioned to supply over 30,000 IPMAN members and 150,000 retail outlets across Nigeria. This direct supply model is expected to increase operational efficiency, stabilize pricing, and boost economic growth within the petroleum sector.
